Lush Diary #52 | Christmas Sweater | Christmas Collection

Hello everybody !

Now’s the time to talk to you about a new bath bomb. Indeed, with the weather being so cold and grey, I can’t help but take baths every time I get the chance to.

The last bath bomb I’ve tried is a newcomer in the Lush winter collection and is called Christmas Sweater*.

Mine is a little battered from being sent over the post so you can’t really see what it looks like, but it should be a big red ball with two white deers facing each other. Simply put, it should look like a Christmas Sweater.

Unfortunately mine didn’t like the post and you can only sort of guess that the white patches used to be deers. If you try really hard. And tilt your head slightly to the right. And squint. And don’t look to closely. Maybe blinking will help.

Once in the water it fizzes away very quickly and covers the whole surface of the water in red foam.

It’s only once the water has turned red entirely that you’ll start seeing patches of yellow coming from the core of the fizzing bath bomb.

The sales rep’ told me that this bath bomb smelled of cinnamon and mustard and so my brain immediately assumed that the red part was the cinnamon and the yellow part the mustard. But I don’t know that that’s the case.

I can’t really say that I’ve managed to identify the scent of the cinnamon and the mustard but I really like the scent of this bath bomb. It was spicy without being sweet.

Compared to other Lush spicy scents, the smell of Christmas Sweater could be described as being more mature, and definitely very warming.

What I’m trying to say is that if you’re a little sick of Snow Fairy and other sweeter scents, this spicy number may be right up your street.

As for myself, I really liked it. The colour show when it fizzes away is beautiful, I really like red baths and I loved the spicy scent. If it comes back next year I’ll be sure to pick one up.

Have you tried it ?
