Lush Diary #41 | Melting Marshmallow Moment

There’s been a slight increase in the number of baths I’ve been taking recently … despite the rising temperatures.

Or rather I should say, because of the rising temperatures.

If you follow me on instagram, you may have seen that I got pretty badly sunburnt (in Scotland !) It’s better now, but my skin has started to be very dry and to peel off, so I was looking for a nourishing bath bomb in my collection. So I went for a bath oil called Melting Marshmallow Moment.

I’ve talked about bath oils a few times already. Bath oils are much smaller than regular bath bombs, and are made out off solid butters and oils that’ll nourish the skin while you’re in the bath,

Most of them aren’t that spectacular in the water, but they smell nice and are good for the skin.

Sadly, apart from the flagship store where you’ll find loads of them, they’re still quite rare in the other Lush stores. There’s usually only a few to choose from.

Melting Marshmallow Moment has the same scent as the famous Snow Fairy shower gel, meaning that is smells like candy.

Personally it’s a scent that I love and I really appreciate that it lingers on my skin afterwards.

As for the hydrating properties, I’m glad to report that my skin was very soft. I stayed in my bath for about 30 minutes and when I got out I didn’t feel like I needed to apply a body lotion at all. Apart from my back, but that’s due to the sunburn.

All in all, I’m really happy with this bath oil: it smells great and it hydrates my skin. I could repurchase it.

Have you tried any bath oil ?
