A Sneak Peek Into Our Home | The Bathroom

Today I’m taking you on a little tour of our bathroom. We’ll step away from the world of the cosmetics for a little bit to talk about home decor. As you may know, we’ve recently moved into a new flat in Edinburgh.

When we moved it, the place was entirely white, that was two months ago and now we’re pretty much settled in. I’m even beginning to think that it looks pretty darn fantastic. So I’ve decided to create a little series here on the blog, to share with you my 3 favourite things in each room. (more…)

Lush Diary #43 | Golden Egg | Easter Collection

I know that in Switzerland it’s way too hot to take baths but here, it doesn’t get warmer than 17 degrees, so I’m quite happy to have a bath every now and then.

So I finally used my bath melt from the Lush Easter Collection, Golden Egg*. (more…)

How to know which product(s) break(s) you out | Let’s investigate

Today I’m greeting you with a brand new type of post, but it’s an experience that I really want to share with you, especially as it could be useful to some of you.

I recently got quite a bad case of breakouts. All of a sudden, in the space of about 12 hours, I got a loaf of them whereas I haven’t really broken out (apart from the odd one here and there) for almost a year. So I want to figure out which product(s) in my routine is/are breaking me out. I think that it’s something in my routine because I recently added a few new things, whereas my diet or stress level haven’t changed recently. (more…)

Lush Diary #42 | Rose Bombshell | Mother’s Day Collection

I know that in Switzerland the weather is a bit too nice for people to be taking baths. From what I’ve heard, they’re more likely to go for a swim in the lake or the pool. But here in Edinburgh, it barely gets over 15 degrees, so I do take baths.

I’ve finally gotten around to using a bath bomb that’s been in my collection for over a year. It was part of last year’s mother’s day collection and is called Rose Bombshell*. (more…)

When Scotland Meets Switzerland | A Drambuie Coffee with the Nespresso Essenza Mini

When I saw the latest Nespresso coffee machine, the Essenza Mini*, I immediately knew that I wanted to have it. It’s teeny tiny, so it doesn’t take much space on the kitchen counter, it’s red and it makes delicious coffee. What else ? (oh no, she didn’t ?!)

As we just moved into our own place, in another country, we almost started from scratch, and the good thing when you’re starting from scratch is that you can do whatever you want. And what I wanted was to have that little coffee machin in our kitchen.

This machine is a little piece of Switzerland that travelled with us to Scotland. And not just because we have to have an adaptor in the kitchen plug to make it work. #convenient

It’s the meeting of these two cultures that gave this post its ‘raison d’être’. I wanted to share with you a little recipe combining my Swiss coffee machine and a typically Scottish liquor, to create a Drambuie Coffee. (more…)
