Lush Diary #32 | The Magic of Christmas | Christmas Collection

I’m quickly reviewing as many bath bombs from the Lush Christmas range as possible while you can still get them.

So today I’m going to be talking about one of their reusable bubble bar. This one is called The Magic of Christmas.

With this one it was more or less love at first sight. I mean … just look at it ..!

A cinnamon stick, a golden star, a star anis, a little red ribbon and a tiny jingly bell. This is indeed the magic of Christmas.

In the bath, it doesn’t disappoint either.

As always with Lush bubble bars, it does create a lot of bubbles. I find that there’s enough just by using the tap, but if you want even more bubbles, you can always fill up your bath using the shower head, which will create even more bubbly goodness.

as per usual with reusable bubble bars you either hold them under the running tap or swirl it in the water while the bath’s running so that the movement in the water creates bubbles.

As for the scent, well I’m sorry to say that my cold is still quite potent and my sense of smell is therefore not very reliable.

I read on the Lush website that it smells of almond and cloves, but I could definitely smell a bit cinnamon too. From what I could gather, I’d say that’s it’s quite a typical Lush spicy Christmas scent.

And that’s a (very) good thing !

The other good thing with reusable bubble bars is that you can use them over and over again (I thought it was 4-5 times but I recently heard that it was up to 10 times), which makes them a lot more economic than regular bath bomb.

Be aware that with this one there are a few specks of gold glitter floating around in the tub. But I didn’t find myself covered in them when I got out of the bath.

All in all I’m really happy with this bubble bar and if I didn’t already have 15’000 bath bombs to use I’d probably repurchase it. What I’d do though, is get it as a Christmas present for someone who enjoys bubbly baths.

And if you’re not a fan of a spicy Christmas there’s always Magic Wand and its sweet sweet candy scent (reviewed here), Jester or Santasaurus (the cutest bubble bar in the history of bubble bars) that could be more up your street in the reusable bubble bar category.

Have you tried the Magic of Christmas ?

*fun fact; there are currently 14 mini gifts under my christmas tree that contain bath bombs, bubble bars and bath oils. When I said I thought they made great gifts … 2017 will be the year of the bath in my family.
