Lush Diary #30 | Never Mind the Ballistics | Christmas Collection

I’m finally back around here so I’ll very briefly clarify a couple of things regarding my absence.

At the moment, I’m trying to finish my MA and it takes a lot of my time and energy and that’s why I have less of it left to take care of the blog. I’ve also had some personal problems that meant that I couldn’t be around here as much as I would have liked to.

Bad news is that as long as I’ll have my mémoire to finish I’ll be a little absent around here. That being said, I have tons of things to share with you, so I’ll do my best to come as often as possible !

And don’t go too far right now beucase I have something very special planned for Christmas. Trust me, you’re not gonna want to miss this.

But enough with the chit-chat, I’m here today to talk about one of Lush’s latest bath bomb in their Christmas collection. I’m talking about Never Mind the Ballistics*.

Visually I find it very pretty, albeit not very christmassy.

When I was first introduced to it, I was told that it was a bath bomb that had been dipped in solid cocoa buttter and that meant that it’d spin around in the water because of the unbalance caused by the solid butter.

Sadly, that didn’t work with mine. When I put it in the water it stayed face down and fizzed away.

That being said, it’s still very pretty as it’s mainly yellow but also has a bit of pink coming out of it. This also means that the water will be orange in the end rather than yellow as I initially feared.

The scent is very much like the colour. Orange. It reminds me of something very specific but I can’t quite put my finger on it so I’ll say that it smells like sour orange sweets.

Again, not the typical spicy christmassy scent, which might be a good thing if you don’t like that, or if you like the scent of oranges. I find that it makes it really nice for a morning bath as it’s quite an uplifting scent.

But what I like the most is probably the pink butter. Indeed, it melts into the water and makes it extremely nourishing, leaving the skin really soft.

When I got out of my bath I smellt delicious, my skin was very soft and there wasn’t a single glitter particle in sight.

*I used the new version of Shoot for the Stars a couple of days ago and when I got out of the bath I was covered in glitter !

All in all, this bath bomb doesn’t offer an amazing show as opposed to what I was expecting, but it smells really nice, it looks nice and it makes my skin really soft.

Have you tried it ?
