New Design & Almost a Monday Shadow Challenge Participation

Hello my Bunnies,

As you may be able to tell, the blog’s changed a little bit.

It’s been almost a year in the process because I couldn’t spend as much time doing it as I’d hoped but it’s finally here. This week we decided that it was the week it was all happening and I spent most of my free time taking care of that. This is also the reason why there’s no Monday Shadow Challenge post today, even though I really liked the colour for this week (plum).

So let me tell you a bit more about the blog’s new face, which I hope you like.

I’m very happy to introduce my new page dedicated to Lush which I called “Lush Diary“. You’ll find every issue of the Lush Diary there, sorted alphabetically.
A few years ago, I used to take notes in a little notebook of all the baths I would take and give every bath bomb a number of stars and write a mini-review. Well now I want to do that on a bigger scale, with pictures and share it with you.
So if you’re planning on buying some Lush bath bombs, I suggest you go and have a look there first to see which bath bomb would be best suited for your needs.

As for the blog in general, there’s nothing too drastic or revolutionary as I wanted something simple, pure and minimalist. I did drafts last summer and M turned my dreams into reality.

I’ve imported all of my old posts from Blogger, and most of them have been checked, but it’s possible that some of the old ones still look a bit funny or lack pictures, as these are the problems that we encountered during the importation process.
I’m still going back in time and checking older posts, but I have to do it manually and it takes so much time that I didn’t want to wait for it to be done before revealing the new blog.

Regarding comments, I decided to work with Disqus, which I find to be much more convenient to have discussions in the comments section. Also as it’s becoming quite popular, it should mean that you won’t have to log in so often.
I’ve been told last night that the comments weren’t working, but the problem should have been fixed now.

But the biggest change is probably that I now have both languages under the same domain name and you can switch from one language to the other very easily. Maybe you didn’t even know that the blog was also available in French, but now you do. When I was working on blogger, I didn’t know how to put both languages together so I had to have to blogs but now I can have only one and under the title of each article is a link to the article in the other language. Easy !

Someone suggested that I have the same comment section for the same article, regardless of the language and I find that it’s a great idea as it would allow for even more discussion. However, at the moment, I don’t know how to do it or if it can be done. But the idea is great and it’s definitely amongst the future projets that I have for the blog.

There probably are still a few bugs hidden here and there, but I’m looking for them, and if you find one, please let me know ! (Provided the comment section works 😉 )

So here’s pretty much what I wanted to mention about the new face of the blog. Other than that, the title suggests that I almost took part in the Monday Shadow Challenge.
Well like I said before, I dedicated almost all the free time that I had this week to get the new blog ready so I couldn’t really take part.
However, once I’d put my makeup on this morning I realised that I had used plum all over my eyes and I thought I would just take a few pictures to share with you. Simple.
But I only had about 5 minutes to do so and apparently the lighting wasn’t on my side because my pictures look nothing like the makeup I’m wearing. And that’s why, considering how bad my pictures were, I decided to alter them completely to make myself look like a ghost. Why not eh ?!
But in real life the colour was really plum and I find that it’s a colour that compliments green eyes extremely nicely.

So not even a half-participation for me this week, but if you’re looking for gorgeous plummy shadows, you’ll find a few in the Smashbox Double Exposure palette. And if you want to see amazing plummy makeup looks, I suggest that you go and have a look at all the other participants’ blogs, who created some amazing looks.
The facebook page dedicated to the challenge is right here.

Aaaand that’s it for today.

This week’s posts are already planned and we’ll talk about bronzers and flower baths.

Have a great start to your week !
