Lush Celebrates Parents | Father’s Day

Hello my Bunnies,

I don’t know if you remember but back in April I presented Lush’s collection for Mother’s Day (here) and I’m back today with another Lush collection, this time it’s to celebrate Father’s Day.

I don’t know what it’s like where you live, but here, we don’t celebrate Father’s day.

I even think that most people are convinced that it doesn’t exist.

But I think that that’s not fair ..!

So if you want to treat your dad (or anyone else for that matter), father’s day or not, know that there is a new limited edition collection by Lush.

If I’m honest, who cares why Lush is coming up with new collections as long as there are new products. Am I right ?!

And if you do want to celebrate, you’ll be able to do it on the 5th of June as it seems to be the date when it’s all happening.

But let’s have a look at the collection, shall we ?

Tanks Dad* solid soap – 9.90CHF (120g)

Much like the sunrise soap that was released for Mother’s Day, this soap has a very fresh scent.

They say it contains 10% orange juice and you can definitely smell it. The scent of orange is also enhanced by the fact it contains orange essential oil too.

It therefore is a little cube of freshness and if your dad still has the soul of a kid you might get him a few so that he can play with them …

Okay no that’s stupid.

But if your dad likes a scent that’s not too strong and very fresh, he might enjoy this multi-purpose soap (though they advise you don’t use it on the face.)

Smugglers Soul* solid shampoo -14.50CHF

I’ve actually never tried any of Lush’s solid shampoo and this one smells quite nice.

I was considering giving it to my dad but he might just have to share.

I like the idea of solid shampoos as it’s much more convenient to travel and it’s also a lot more environmental friendly.

I haven’t tried it yet but it’s supposed to make hair softer and to sooth the scalp.

I’ll get back to you once I’ve tried it 🙂

The Modfather* bubble bar – 9.-CHF

I absolutely love Lush’s bubble bar and I’m pretty sure I’m going to love this one.

A Lush bubble bar is the promise of heaps of bubble.

This one has a citrussy scent but when I gave it to my father to sniff he said it smelled just like Tiki, which, if you don’t know, are sweets.

This will turn your bath water blue with a ton of bubble on top of it.

If your dad is partial to a scent that is reminiscent of childhood sweets then get him this one.

Superbad* bath bomb – 9.30CHF

Lush describes this bath bomb’s scent as woody and smoky. To be honest I can smell but one thing : Jean Paul Gaultier Le Mâle perfume.

To me this bath bomb smells exactly like this fragrance and I really really like it.

It’s actually one of M’s perfume so that’s probably why. (Let’s ignore that it’s also my boss’s because that’s just weird ^^)

I haven’t tried the bath bomb yet so I don’t know what it’s like in the bath but I can tell you that it’s gigantic and that it has Dad written on it. My guess is that it’ll turn the water a gorgeous blue and I’m pretty confident it doesn’t contain any glitter.

The style is very reminiscent of superman’s … obviously.

If your dad or you, or whomever you wish to give it to enjoys the scent of the Le Mâle perfume or is a kind of Superman, then I’m guessing that this bath bomb would be a great gift.

Lush bath bombs are very rarely disappointing and I don’t see why this one should be any different.

The collection also contains a shaving cream, a beard and face cleanser as well as a styling cream for beard and moustache. I’m starting to understand why I didn’t get the whole collection to try out 😉

You can find the whole collection in stores or online (here) until … Father’s Day I guess.

Tempted by the collection ? For you or for Daddy ?
