My Take on the “5 Product Face” | No Tools

Hello my Bunnies,

As my last tutorial post was really high maintenance, I though that this time I would go really minimal with a classic “5 Product Face”.

I wasn’t sure how I was going to decide what to take and what to leave until I thought to start with the essentials.

I can’t do without mascara (hello invisible blond lashes), foundation (dear acne scars) or powder (oily skin problem).

That already left me with only two products to choose. [read more=”Read more” less=”Read less”]

A few years back I would have said : blusher and lipstick, that’s easy.

BUT things have changed and nowadays I don’t feel like going out of the house without my brows on so that was the 4th product chosen.

What’s more is that a lot of cheek’n’lip products exist nowadays. Sadly I don’t own any (not since I dropped my Benefit Cha Cha Tint anyway =( ) but I remembered my friend who uses her chubby sticks on her cheeks as well as on her lips and I thought I’d try and do the same.

I also took it a bit further and I will be using no tools !

Here’s how it went :

I started by applying my Bourjois 1,2,3 Perfect foundation (are you sick of hearing about it yet ?) with my fingers making sure to blend it down the neck too.

I then took my Clinique Chubby Stick in the shade Woopin’ Watermelon and applied it on my lips as well as two stripes on my cheeks (see above). I then simply blended it in using my fingers and added a bit more and blended further.

As you can see it looks very natural and adds a gorgeous glow to the cheeks without being greasy.

Then all that was left to do was to powder my face with the Soap&Glory one heck of a blot, to comb and fill-in my eyebrows with the Soap&Glory Archery (comes with a spoolie – winner !) and to apply a generous coat of the Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara.

Edit : I was asked how I applied my powder without a brush. Well… don’t judge me but I used the little puff that comes with the compact. I usually wouldn’t do that but with this powder the finish still looks natural.

It’s simple, it’s quick and it still looks put together. What else would you want ?!

What would be your five products ?
