Una Brenan Cleansing Oil

I’m back. Finally ! And first things first, Merry Christmas everybody !

I’m sorry for the lack of posts recently. I have been sick, wrapping presents, writing christmas cards and also working on papers that are due at the end of december (bummer !)

In my latest London Beauty Haul (here) I mentioned this cleansing oil and I’m back for a slightly more in depth review.

At first I really liked the citrussy scent but actually when you get to using it, it smells like cleaning products which isn’t the nicest thing.

The first time I used it I was kind of surprised by how oily it felt on the skin but I got used to it and it all comes off if you use a damp muslin or flannel cloth to take it off.

Now for the seriously good part, it really dissolves all of your makeup. There won’t be anything left ! You massage it onto your skin (eyes included) and watch your makeup melt and when you wipe your face with a face cloth you’ll be amazed how clean your face looks. What’s more is that it doesn’t sting the eyes. At all !

So, all in all, I’m not the biggest fan of the scent and you have to get used to the oiliness of it at first (but it’s not a problem even for seriously oily skin gals like me, it doesn’t leave a residue at all) but it’s powerfulness at getting rid of any makeup is incredible !

Have you tried it ? What do you think ?

Hope you’re having nice holidays !

  • Not a fan of cleaning products, but the rest of this oil sure sounds nice! I'm still relying on my Clinique take they off cleansing balm, which I guess is easier to get in Switzerland anyway.
I'm glad your papers are done, I'm still working on mine 😉

  • I think I need to try this one, my skin is so dry in winter 🙂 x

  • I really like using cleansing oils to get rid of makeup, and I'm intrigued by the citrus scent and then again a little turned off by the it may smell more like cleaning supplies haha, but I still may try it out.

  • I really like cleansing oils, but I have yet to find one that cleans my eye make up as well without stinging my eyes. Though I don't think I'd be happy about the citrus smell either… x

  • It sounds really lovely but I'm not sure I'd be able to cope with the scent :/ xx

  • It is quite nice and fairly affordable. The scent doesn't linger either…

  • It definitely is hard to get a hold of here … But the price tag is much nicer than with clinique 😛
I'm not done with my papers sadly … at all.
    Good luck with yours =)

  • You could just have a sniff before buying it. Fortunately it doesn't linger.

  • I may have made it sound a bit worse than it actually is. The good thing is that it doesn't linger.

  • It is very efficient for eye makeup and really doesn't sting. If you can live with the scent then I'd strongly recommend it !

  • I did quite like this product! I just wish it came with a pump, so much comes out & feels like a waste!

Either way, I hope you had a lovely Christmas & a very Happy New Year! Xx

  • Mmmm I think I could get used to this, it sounds pretty nice!

  • Mine must have a very tiny hole at the top because I don't have that problem 😛
I did thanks =) I hope that you did too !

  • It is really nice ! The scent and consistency are nothing compared to how good it is.
